LittleSA x Atelier: Inner Compass Camp

Inner Compass Camp (Little SA x Atelier) — a thoughtfully designed 3-day, full-day holiday experience created to help children build a calm, steady “inner compass” they can carry back into school and home life.

This programme supports children in developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and social confidence through structured, creative, and music-led experiences. Across the camp, children learn to notice what is happening inside them — body signals, emotions, and choices — and practise practical tools to manage big feelings in everyday situations.

Each day follows a gentle and predictable rhythm: a calm arrival, guided learning, music-based activities, creative stations, and reflective closure. This consistent structure helps children feel safe, seen, and supported while building new skills.

Over three themed days

• Self-Awareness & Emotional Literacy
• Managing Anger & Big Reactions
• Social Skills, Empathy & Carry-Over

Children will:

• Practise mindfulness and breathing routines to steady their bodies and attention
• Learn practical SEL tools (such as linking emotions → body → choices and the “STOP–THINK–CHOOSE” strategy) using relatable classroom scenarios
• Use music and rhythm to explore self-control, listening, turn-taking, impulse control, and encouragement within a team
• Apply their learning through role play, guided group games, and a collaborative capstone task that develops planning, patience, and emotional regulation

By the end of the camp, each child leaves with clearer self-understanding, practical strategies they can use in the moment, and growing confidence in working with others — even when emotions run big.
